Nicaragua & Neighborliness
CHRIST & NEIGHBOR
Nicaragua is a neighbor of ours. And we in the U.S. are neighbors of Nicaragua.
And how did Jesus tell us that neighbors should behave toward neighbors? No need to answer that question. You’ve read it here before and if you read it one more time you’ll never read this column again.
Besides which, neighboring columnist Robert Coles has answered the question in regard to Nicaragua in a far more effective, less preachy way than anything you are likely to read in this column. He did so in two issues of the NOR last year, April and May, reporting on a visit he and two sons made to Nicaragua. Those two columns are among the best things I have seen on the subject.
