‘I Will Defend to the Death Your Right to Say It’

It is the common course in daily newspapers that prolifers are called “anti-abortion” and that pro-aborts are called “pro-choice.” But we must be reminded that these are euphemisms.

According to LifeSiteNews (June 20), The New York Daily News, the sixth largest newspaper in the U.S., specifies in its writer guidelines that the word “prolifers” must be replaced with “abortion foes” or “abortion opponents.” On the other hand, those who support abortion are given positive appellations, such as “abortion rights activists” and “pro-choice.” The term “unborn child” is linguistically aborted, and is always designated a “fetus.”
