Sean Hannity Promotes Contraception, Abortion & War
Neocon Catholic Sean Hannity, according to Fr. Thomas J. Euteneuer (President of Human Life International, in his e-Newsletter “Spirit & Life,” www.hli.org, March 9), is “shameless — even scandalous — [in his] promotion of birth control. Yes, I have heard him personally say, ‘I have no problem with birth control. It’s a good thing.'” Fr. Euteneuer was invited to defend his position on the Hannity & Colmes show that same day (March 9) on neocon Fox TV. Hannity hurled tirades at Fr. Euteneuer, and Hannity cut him off many times. Then Hannity changed the subject to the clerical sex scandals.
Fr. Euteneuer said in his subsequent e-Newsletter (March 12): “Hannity is also clearly pro-choice on abortion in cases of rape, incest and the life of the mother, and he is really cozy with the likes of Rudy Giuliani whose love for abortion and everything gay is hardly a secret. It has even been revealed that Hannity’s website, Hannity.com has a gay dating service that Sean knows about and apparently ‘has no problem with;’ no different from his attitude in regard to birth control.” In Fr. Euteneuer’s e-Newsletter of March 16, he said: “We know that all chemical contraception actually causes abortions at the embryonic stage….”
It was unfortunate that Fr. Euteneuer didn’t mention Hannity’s hardcore warmongering on Iraq.
But at least Sean Hannity is consistent: contraception, abortion, and war.
