Archbishop Niederauer's Eucharistic Moment
In late September every year for the past 24 years, the city of San Francisco has been host to the Folsom Street Fair. Darryl Flick, the President of Folsom Street Events, calls the Fair "the 'granddaddy of leather' extravaganzas" (San Francisco Chronicle, Sept. 26, 2005). The Folsom Street Fair is essentially the public displaying of some of the most deviant and grotesque aspects of homosexuality, featuring not only "leather-clad minions," but also "fully nude street revelers," "dominants and submissives," and "the usual enthusiasts in San Francisco's leather-clad S&M [sadomasochist] and gay community
." The Fair "receives the full support of the city."
The Castro Street Fair takes place in San Francisco's notorious Castro District (long known as the world's "gay mecca"), usually within a week or two of the Folsom Street Fair, and features much of the same cast of misfits. The Castro Street Fair, which was founded by "gay" icon Harvey Milk as a political statement for "gay" rights, is also sanctioned by the city. This year, the 34th annual Castro Street Fair took place on Sunday, October 7.
A fixture at both fairs (and virtually every other "gay" event in San Francisco) is the homosexual activist outfit Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. Started in 1979, this group of "gay" men dress up in drag in mock nun's costumes with heavy makeup and wild accessories, and give themselves such handles as Sister May JoyB WithU, Sister Edith Myflesh, Sister Chastity Boner, Sister Constance Craving of the Holey Desire, and Sister Barbi Mitzvah, the group's "Board Chairnun and Sexytary." Among the group's mottos are: "Go and sin some more" and "It is not wise to say no to free drinks, cheap jewelry, discount cosmetics or pretty boys."
It was on Sunday, October 7, the day of the Castro Street Fair, that San Francisco Archbishop George Niederauer decided to pay a "pastoral" visit to Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, in the heart of the Castro, to celebrate Mass. Phil Lawler (Catholic World News, Oct. 12) reports that "Most Holy Redeemer is a notoriously gay-friendly parish, in a hotbed of gay activism. Just a week before the archbishop's visit, the parish hosted a competition among 'the Bay Area's Most Delicious Drag Divas.'"

|This is the link that was posted on the Qdomine website. Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence had in Most Holy Redeemer's hall. This seems to be a promotional video for the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. This is actual video footage of the bingo which took place in the parish hall. I believe Fr. Meriwether was sent away for a few months but when he came back similar activities

|Traditioninaction correctly blames Rome for giving us wolves as bishops and archbishops. After this "wolf" had a track record in Salt Lake City, he was made archbishop, supervising several west coast dioceses. Is the Holy Father or his advisor who recommended this wolf blind?
On the Wikipedia website it says "in the Roman Curia.
On film, Niederauer "liked" Syriana and thought Munich "too long".. The archbishop had no qualms affirming that he had seen Brokeback Mountain, making him the first senior American cleric to state publicly that he has viewed the film. When asked for his reaction he said that "I thought it was very powerful, and I probably had a different take on it than a lot of people did.... It was a story not only about the relationship between the two principal characters, but very much a cluster of relationships... And I think in all of that one of the lessons is the destructiveness of not being honest with yourself, and not being honest with other people - and not being faithful, trying to live a double life, and what that does to each of the lives you try to live".
All he say in the film was the destructiveness of living a hidden life. The moral issue it seems have never occured to Niederauer?
I think it is time to send protests to the Vatican and demand that the Holy Father appoint somebody who will give him helpful advise and clean up the American hierarchy for good, before we have to follow the Anglican churches that break away from the liberal main body. For my money the time is near when we have to join the SSPX where the bishops are NOT appointed by the gay-loving crowd in the Vatican and split our loyalty between Benedict XVI and the LeFebvre group.

|I lived in Northern California for 20 or so years. The Folsom Street Fair and the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence have mocked and attacked the Catholic Church since I can remember. They are high profile..........There is no way that the archbishop could not have recognized them so I must conclude that he is not being truthful.

|Does the Archbishop of San Francisco believe that we Catholics were all born yesterday in regard to his incredible statement of apology, which is laughable?
The Archbishop claims not to have noticed any mock religious garb...
The REAL apology that is owed by Niederauer is for not being a good shepherd to his flock by saying nothing to them whatsoever in regard to the abomination that is Most Holy Redeemer Church's blatant public promotion of sodomitic lifestyles.
The REAL apology that is owed by Niederauer is for seeing nothing wrong with sodomite adoption!
The REAL apology that is owed by Niederaruer is for not publicly condemning, in the strongest terms possible, the filth of the sodomitic Folsom and Castro street fairs, and the promotion of sodomitic lifestyles at the state, county, and city levels, to particularly include San Francisco, with an attitude of "To heck with the children” in his Archdiocese, in complete disregard of Matthew 18:6 [But he that shall scandalize one of these little ones that believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone should be hanged about his neck, and that he should be drowned in the depth of the sea].
You may think that you are fooling people, Archbishop Niederauer, with your worthless apology. If you do, you are delusional. Long suffering Catholics have caught on to your act and those of your ilk in California. You have done nothing to rein in Catholic frauds, in particular your Mayor, who is absolutely giddy at the prospect of putting as many of his constituents as possible on the fast track to Hell with him by advocating oxymoronic sodomite marriage!
The REAL apology that is owed by the Archbishop of San Francisco is for NOT BEING A CATHOLIC!
And finally, the ultimate REAL apology is owed by Rome to Catholics worldwide in giving us wolves in sheep’s clothing masquerading as Bishops who could not care less about the eternity of the souls entrusted to them!
